Nelissen Bricks: from digital showroom to bricks-and-mortar experience

Inform and inspire architects and project developers with a brixperience: that was the goal of Nelissen Steenfabrieken’s new experience centre. The question was whether we could use audiovisual technology to guide visitors through all the possibilities and interactively help them select and put together their ideal brick pallet.

Digital waiting line optimisation

At the reception desk, incoming visitors see two stretched displays with logo animation, general customer welcome and ambience impressions. In the waiting area, a touch video wall (6 displays) allows visitors to learn about an interactive face book, site tour and timeline, among other things.

11 touch displays with mix & joint functionality

In the category area, we installed 11 touch displays. Here, visitors have the opportunity to see photos and information for all the bricks available and compare certain ranges with each other through a ‘mix & joint’ module. Favourites can be easily added to the linked app via the display.

The Stenotheek

In the Stenotheek brick library, brick combinations are laid side by side. Using RFID technology, the results, including details, are displayed directly on the double-sided displays.

Larg-format brixperience

We equipped the experience zone with a curved projection wall, on which the result from the Stenotheek brick library can be projected onto buildings. Anything for that bit of experience.
