Your AVenture® as a Field Service Engineer

Our service department is expanding! As a Field Service Engineer, you play an important role in solving malfunctions and service requests. If an issue cannot be resolved remotely, your colleagues in the service team will ensure you are well-prepared with proper planning and resources to head out. Once on-site, you will work to resolve the malfunction. During the process, you are the first point of contact for the customer. If you encounter challenges, you can always rely on backup from your colleagues from the Service team. Most of your work will be carried out for our clients in the Benelux region, though occasionally you may need to travel further afield. Curious about our clients? They are often well-known brands.

You as a person

As a Field Service Engineer at First Impression, your most important qualities are a strong dose of enthusiasm and a passion for technology. Additionally, you should be communicative, customer-focused, accurate, and structured in your work. When you’re on-site solving a customer issue, you take responsibility and dedicate yourself to resolving the problem. You’re not afraid to ask for help, yet you can also work independently and come up with your own solutions. Of course, you make use of your colleagues’ expertise to achieve even better results. Both customers and colleagues enjoy working with you. Given the rapid developments in your field, you’re eager to learn and show initiative to stay up to date.

It’s all about (your) experience

We think you are ready for this position if you can tick off the checklist below:

  • You have experience in a similar position within the audiovisual industry.
  • You hold a degree in electrical or audiovisual engineering.
  • Knowledge of IT makes this job even more exciting for you. You are familiar with terms like VLAN, MAC address, and IP address.
  • You posses a valid driver’s license, as you are often on the road.
  • You communicate with customers in a professional and helpful manner.
  • You are comforatble with working a week of stand-by shifts about five times a year, ready to assist customers outside regular working hours.
  • You have a good command of both Dutch and English.
  • If you speak an additional language, we’d love to hear about it!
