Who we are?

First Impression designs, develops, and implements audiovisual concepts and solutions. We digitize physical spaces by combining digital signage and audiovisual technology with (interactive) content. In doing so, we connect people, moments, and brands. We work with leading clients such as Basic-Fit, Rituals, Volvo, KPN, Jumbo, and SPAR. With a team of over 230 experience experts, our AVenturers®, we dedicate everything to experience. It’s all about experience.

What truly makes First Impression unique is our culture. We have an open and flat organizational structure, filled with passionate professionals. There is plenty of room for personal responsibility and professional growth.

What will you do as a Retail Project Manager

As a Retail Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for implementing audiovisual concepts for leading retail brands such as Rituals and Basic-Fit. One concept, dozens or even hundreds of locations, and many different parties that need to work together. You provide the structure, monitor progress, and keep everyone on track.

You’ll receive a detailed scope of work from the account manager and, from that point on, take charge of the project’s execution. You’ll work within one of our client teams, where you’ll collaborate with colleagues to carry out our clients’ projects. In doing so, you’ll constantly coordinate between internal departments and external parties such as contractors, installers, and suppliers.

The main challenge lies in managing numbers, schedules, and the various parties involved. You don’t need to be a technical specialist, but you should have a sufficient understanding of audiovisual technology to ask the right questions and ensure that the concept is properly executed at every location.

Your daily duties include:

  • Coordinating projects and the rollout of audiovisual concepts across multiple retail locations
  • Coordinating with external parties such as installation companies, contractors, and suppliers
  • Monitoring scheduling, budget, quality, and progress across all locations
  • Managing project documentation and progress reports
  • Identifying bottlenecks and ensuring they are resolved
  • Collaborate internally with teams including account management, logistics, work planning, and scheduling
  • Contributing ideas on process improvements and efficient ways of collaborating

In short, this is a dynamic role in which you’ll constantly be moving between the office, the warehouse, and project sites. One moment you’ll be planning for dozens of locations, and the next you’ll be on-site for the start or completion of a project.

You as a person

You value structure and perform best when there’s a lot going on at once. You’re able to switch quickly between different parties, maintain an overview, and ensure that agreements are honored.

What defines you:

  • Responsibility: You take the lead and ensure that agreements are fulfilled
  • Strong communication skills: you bring different parties together and communicate clearly
  • Flexible: You can easily adapt when a schedule or situation changes
  • Staying on top of things in a dynamic environment: multiple locations, schedules, and parties? You’ve got it under control
  • Problem-solver: You identify bottlenecks and quickly come up with a solution
  • Customer-focused: You understand how important consistent execution and experience are to our customers

It’s all about (your) experience

You have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management and/or a logistics or operations coordination role
  • Experience coordinating multiple locations, projects, or external parties
  • Experience managing or coordinating external suppliers, installation companies, or construction teams is a plus
  • An interest in retail, retail brands, and the dynamics of working across multiple locations
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • And you are:
  • Stress-resistant and able to maintain a clear overview even during busy periods
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written. Frans is een pre.
