In Rituals stores, slowing down is an art. For this solution, we created a rotating carousel where content, movement, and perspective merge into one focused moment. From the start, content, rotation and perspective were conceived as one integrated system. Not only to explain a product, but to hold attention. Calmly. Intuitively. And unmistakably Rituals.
Rituals was looking for a way to create dwell time without adding noise or layers of explanation for their aroma diffuser: The Perfume Genie.
From a distance, the carousel appears as a single sculptural vitrine with depth and motion. When visitors pause, the illusion reveals itself. Four portrait screens form one visual volume, using forced perspective to suggest a three-dimensional object moving in space. What feels physical is created entirely through content. The experience only comes together from the right viewpoint, naturally inviting visitors to stop and look.
In close collaboration with development, we calibrated the precise alignment point and synchronised the visuals with the rotation of the carousel.
Motion is subtle and precisely timed. Three-dimensional sequences are deliberately alternated with calmer moments, creating breathing space and keeping the illusion of technical perfection. Content and movement work together to guide attention, not demand it. The result is a focused experience that fits seamlessly into the Rituals store environment. Refined, sensory and quietly impressive. Because sometimes, the strongest impression is made by slowing things down. And it shows how digital content can shape spatial perception and transform physical retail into experience.
