Your AVenture® as Head of Finance & Control

As Head of Finance & Control you are responsible for creating a finance organization that is ready for international growth and scalability. You will be able to move effortlessly in an environment with multiple entities and diverse (international) laws and regulations and you will know how to bring structure and overview to this.

You ensure fast, reliable and predictable figures and bring rhythm and discipline to the financial process. In doing so, you combine leadership with a hands-on mentality: you not only steer, but also dive into the content yourself when necessary.

You will also make finance smarter and more efficient by optimizing processes, making better use of ERP systems and applying automation. You work closely with the CFO and are a solid sparring partner in the area of control and further growth.

What you will do

In this role, you will lead the Financial Control and Finance team and ensure that the team grows with the organization. You will structure processes and responsibilities and play a key role in the further professionalization of finance within an international context.

You are ultimately responsible for monthly closing, consolidation and reporting across multiple entities and continuously work to accelerate and improve the closing process.

In addition, you organize financial processes efficiently and optimize the use of ERP systems. You actively pursue automation and ensure that finance is organized ever smarter and more effectively.

You interact a lot with stakeholders within the business and act as a connecting factor between finance, sales and operations. In collaboration with the CFO, you will help think about the further development of the organization.

At your core, you are a solid finance professional who combines substance and leadership. You feel at home in a dynamic, international environment and know how to provide structure as the organization continues to grow.

Your skills:

  • Extensive experience in financial control and/or accounting within a multi-entity organization
  • Demonstrated experience in an international environment
  • Experience within a growing organization where complexity is increasing
  • Strategic insight combined with a hands-on mentality
  • Strong affinity for managing and developing teams
  • Proficient in stakeholder management and understanding of a commercial and operational organization
  • Experience with ERP systems and optimizing financial processes
  • Affinity with automation and making finance smarter (e.g., with tooling or AI) is a plus
  • You have a decisive and pragmatic attitude and take ownership
