What will you do as a AV Support Specialist?

  • Remotely troubleshoot and resolve AV-related malfunctions (2nd line support) to fix issues quickly and effectively.
  • Communicate by phone and email with customers, external (IT) parties and internal stakeholders to resolve incidents.
  • Organise and chair work meetings and evaluations to proactively address recurring AV issues and general incidents, and prevent future problems.
  • Ensure clear internal and external communication about the provided solution or required next steps.
  • Create realistic and clear expectations for customers and colleagues regarding the progress and handling of incidents.
  • Guide AV-related changes and updates at customers in collaboration with the appropriate internal stakeholders.

It’s all about (your) experience

You feel comfortable calling a customer about an issue. You don’t panic under pressure and you feel responsible for resolving incidents and seeing them through to a successful conclusion. You like to put the customer first and you enjoy working together with others. Although you’re not afraid to ask for help, you’re also able to work independently and take ownership. Naturally, you involve your colleagues’ expertise to achieve even better results. You also monitor the lead time of incidents both internally and externally. Because your field develops rapidly, you are eager to learn and you like to take initiative.

In addition, it’s important that you:

  • Have experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues (2nd line).
  • Are able to respond well to the expectations and needs of customers and colleagues.
  • Naturally show involvement and can be positive and critical about both input and output.
  • Are stress-resistant and perform well when facing unexpected situations or increasing workload.
  • Are enthusiastic and stay up to date with trends and developments in AV hardware and software.
